Koh Rin 2010
Overnight Camping
13th & 14th February 2010
Dear RVYC Sailors and campers,
This year camp out will be to Koh Rin on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th February.
Koh Rin is about 22 Kms on bearing 260 from the Club and is approximately 2 hours by the fishing boat.
The schedule is the same one we use in the previous years. It works well so we will use it again. We will try and depart on time so to arrive at Koh Rin with enough time to enjoy a pleasant afternoon.
Our schedule for the weekend will be as follows.
Saturday 13th Febraury
08:00 Start loading of supplies and personal belongings onto the truck at the club for items to be taken to Bali-Hai pier for placing on the fishing boat. Should you have any items you wish to be taken on the fishing boat please have them ready in the car park by reception by 9.00 am
11.00 The Fishing Boat arrives at club beach and start boarding of passengers. If you are having breakfast at the club please allow ample time as the Veranda may be busy.
11:30 Fishing Boat departs for Koh Rin
12:30 Fishing Boat should be about half way to Koh Rin – packed lunch will be provided on board for passengers
Sailing Cats and OMC boats depart RVYC and
13:30 ETA to Koh Rin – off loading of passengers and supplies. Setting up tents and camps.
14:30 Afternoon snacks available. “ Beach Bar “ opens
16:00 Cats and Keel Boats that have not arrived at Koh Rin will be considered overdue and the RIBs will be sent out to search for them. If you intend to arrive after 16.00 please inform us.
19:00 Dinner served
10:00 Noise curfew in use. Those who want to keep partying must move a distance away from the camp.
Sunday 14th February
7.30 -09:30 Breakfast will be served. The kitchen will close at 9.30 am. –
09:30 Community services - cleaning up the beach.... this means everybody!
10:00 Briefing of returning Cats and Keel boats , commence loading of the fishing boat.
Cats and Keel Boats depart as per your convenience
11:30 “ Beach Bar “ closes
12:00 Fishing Boat departs for RVYC – Fresh fruit will be available on the boat.
14:00 ETA Fishing Boat at RVYC and off loading of passengers .
16:00 Cats that have not arrived at RVYC will be considered overdue and the RIBs will be sent out to search. .If you don’t intend to arrive at the club by 16.00 or are safe but delayed please inform us.
What do you need to prepare./ it. is a good idea to bring the following items, mosquito repellant. A fully charged flash light ...a fully charged mobile phone, The club numbers (RVYC Rescue 087-140-0855 or Office 038-250-116 or 0847811413). a set of fresh clothing and your personal hygienic items. A sleeping set, a tent.
There will be a basic toilet and bathroom
Adults & children over 14 years old 1,100 baht
Children under 14 years old 650 baht
There is an additional charge of 200 baht per person for those on the fishing boat.
(Prices does not include vat).
. All Prices include .lunch and dinner on the Saturday plus breakfast and a snack on the Sunday.
We are trying to limit maximum number of participants to 70 adults plus children. This is a number that we believe we can provide adequate service as well as the issue of safety. You can choose to make payment by cash or charge to your account.. Availability is base on first comes first serves. The Club also reserves the rights to cancel the trip within reasonable causes in which the Club will refund all of the paid amounts.

The deadline for bookings for the fishing boat is 5.00 pm on Tuesday 9th February.
Upon booking please provide the following information:
Names of each person
If the person is 14 or under please specify the age so we know what to charge.
Must indicate if the person is a skipper or a crew of the sailing boat
Let us know the name/type of your sail boat or indicate “Club Boat” if you going to rent one.
This will provide us with the list of sail boat needed to be prepared on the lawn on Friday.
If the person is to ride on the Fishing Boat then please inform us
Please understand that the above information is necessary to build accurate list of participants for safety reasons and accurate charge to your membership account.
We will have your boat out on the grass lawn with mast stepped on Friday so on Saturday morning our boat boys will only have to raise the sail and thus have more time to load up supplies and do other things.
