Pre-racing season Laser clinics for

UK Laser Masters/Grand Masters in Thailand

January, February and March 2009

After a long dark and cold European winter nothing could be better than taking part in some well deserved pre-season race training in warm waters with warm sunshine and normally excellent breezes   at what is probably one of the best dinghy racing venues in the world. Add some of that famous Thai hospitality and this becomes an occasion not to be missed by any Masters sailors wishing to get ready for the season ahead.

The Royal Varuna Yacht Club based at South Pattaya, Thailand, has agreed to host pre-season Laser racing clinics for Masters and Grand Masters during spring 2009.   Dates have not been fixed:

The tentative limit on each clinic is ten sailors.  The organizers wish to engage at least one Laser Worlds or top level coach for each clinic.

Details will be updated and posted in the Club's website www.varuna.org from time to time.

Sailors participating would have temporary membership status at the Club, with access to bar, restaurant and other services.   Air conditioned accommodation would be available at hotels within walking distance.

Charter Lasers would be used boats in good condition.  Sailors would need to bring sail, tiller and personal buoyancy, and may wish to provide their own foils and control lines.

Organizers who may be contacted for more information are:
