Notice to Membership Applicants
1. Entrance fees are to be paid by crossed cheque made payable to Royal Varuna
Yacht Club in cash; by credit card; or else wrapped up as part of ongoing payments made
under the Letter of Consent system (see below).
2. Subscription fees and other ongoing fees: in order to simplify
administration and reduce
administration costs, members are required to make payments for subscription
fees and other
ongoing fees (rack fees, locker fees, box fees, and long-term accommodation
rental) by direct
debit to their bank account, by bank Letter of Consent or, with prior approval of
the Treasurer, a
standing Banker's Order.
3. Applicants for Junior Participants' Scheme should complete the application
form and should have the Authorisation and Undertaking form completed and signed by their
father/mother/legal
guardian (Annex 1 can be obtained from the club reception).
4. The completed forms, including two passport-size photographs, should be sent to:
Royal Varuna Yacht Club, 286 Moo 12 Pratamnak Road, Nong Prue, Banglamung,
Chonburi
20150 or be handed to the Club Manager or Khun Lek at the reception.
5. The applicant shall be contacted by the Membership Secretary who will invite
the applicant for a
brief meeting. Our present Membership Secretary is:

5. The applicant shall have permission to use the Club's facilities for a period
of one month while
waiting for final approval by the General Committee. The applicant will be
required to pay the
regular guest fee, and will have to use coupons.
6. The application will be referred to the next monthly meeting of the General
Committee of the
Club. If the application is accepted, the member will be notified. A membership
card will be
sent together with a copy of the By-laws and Constitution and other general
information on the
Club.
Applicants for membership will be asked to submit a bank Letter of Consent after
membership
has been approved by the Committee. Letter of Consent forms can be downloaded
from the
Club website www.varuna.org or are available at the Club office. The acceptance
of the
application remains at the discretion of the General Committee.
7. A request for renting a boat rack should be submitted to the Club Manager
indicating the type of
boat before bringing the boat onto the club premises.
8. The applicant shall volunteer to assist the Race Officer in at least two
races. Upon completing
this duty, the applicant shall inform the Membership Secretary accordingly, with
the signature of
the Race Officer.
